How to Make Beetroot and Lemon Juice
Basic Recipe
Ingredients:
1 medium beetroot, peeled and chopped
½ lemon, peeled (remove the white pith if you’re sensitive to bitterness)
1 cup water (or coconut water for extra hydration)
Optional: 1-inch piece of ginger, a few mint leaves, or a small apple for sweetness
Instructions:
Wash and peel the beetroot. Chop into chunks that will fit your blender.
Peel the lemon half, removing as much white pith as possible.
Place all ingredients in a blender with 1 cup water.
Blend until smooth.
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag if you prefer a smoother juice (this removes the fiber, but you’ll lose some of the colon-cleansing benefits).
Drink immediately for maximum nutrient benefit.
