3. Sterilizing jars

To sterilize them, immerse the glass jars in boiling water for a few minutes.

Allow them to air dry completely.
4. Fill the jars

Pour the hot tomato puree into sterilized jars.

If you like, add a few basil leaves.
5. Close the jars

Close the jars tightly and immerse them in a pot of boiling water for about 30 minutes to create a vacuum.

Allow them to cool completely, then store in a cool, dry and dark place.

If you notice an unusual odor, discoloration, or bulging lid, do not consume them and discard the contents immediately.
